Dr. Shilpa Thaker, M.D., is an Internal Medicine Physician. She has a private outpatient clinic Aum Internal Medicine, where she has been treating patients since 2011. Dr. Thaker received her undergraduate and masters degrees from UNLV, after which she attended University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2004, followed with Internship and Residency in 2008.
I believe in a holistic approach to patient care having been influenced by my cultural background growing up in India where I learned about Ayurvedic medicine in school and home with mom. My grandfather Hariprasad Bhatt, was an Ayurvedic physician, an educator and published author who wrote multiple books on healthy and preventative lifestyles.
My journey to becoming a doctor was unusual as I started out as a Computer Programmer in college. But my calling and passion to help people led me to Medicine.
My aim (Aum Internal Medicine) has always been to educate and empower my patients to improve their quality of life by helping them achieve their wellness goals with an individualized plan of care.
I strive to improve my professional knowledge and am very passionate about the care of my patients, which has brought me to my new endeavor in Wellness Medicine with EMSELLA and EMSCULPT NEO.
Fria Tokuz
Fria is originally from Indonesia. She lived in upstate New York for 20 years and moved to Las Vegas in September 2010. She has a husband, 2 daughters, and a dog named Tulsa who is spoiled rotten.
She started as a Medical Assistant in 2013 wit Dr. Thaker and now manages her clinic.

Sarah Parker, CMA, CPT
Back Office Staff
Sarah completed her certifications as a clinical medical assistant and phlebotomy technician in 2023. She is passionate about expanding her medical knowledge and helping patients. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and being in nature.
Jane Jellison
Jane Jellison holds an Associates of Science in Healthcare Administration and is a National Certified Medical Assistant. Born and raised in the Phillippines, she spent 15 years living across Europe and Asia before relocating to Las Vegas in 2013.
Jane values community, culture and family. Her diverse background enhances her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new restaurants with her daughter and maintaining an active lifestyle through gym workouts and hiking.
Carrie Jones
Medical Aesthetics Technician (MA Tech)
Carrie relocated from Southern California to Las Vegas. Raised in a family with multiple members in the medical field, she found her most comfortable environment there. After eight years of working with a dermatologist, she discovered her passion for Medical Aesthetics. In 2025, Carrie joined Dr. Thaker’s team. Utilizing her extensive experience in medical aesthetics, she now oversees and operates all the wellness equipment in the office. Carrie’s dedication to her role as an MA Tech is evident in her exceptional care for our patients and her willingness to go above and beyond to ensure their well-being.
